BASF's Community Paddocks initiative is an opportunity to generate new agronomic insights, drive collaboration and knowledge sharing and raise funds for Rural communities. Throughout the growing season, BASF Australia supplies a range of its crop protection solutions and partners with local growers to see first-hand how BASF solutions can help them gain more control and improve their capability. Following harvest of the Community Paddocks, funds raised through the initiative are donated back into rural community groups.
In 2023, BASF were invited to support the fungicide management program of Nhill Tigers as part of the Community Paddocks initiative. Our turf team designed a program to address key existing disease concerns, and goals for the ground ahead of the club’s football final series. Xzemplar® Fungicide and Lexicon® Intrinsic® Brand Fungicide were incorporated into the fungicide program offering broad spectrum disease control, extended residuals and plant health benefits. Nhill Tigers were scheduled to host the league’s preliminary final in Spring and were looking to showcase healthy, disease free turf to be enjoyed by the community and players alike.
Local agronomist and groundsman Dan, shares the success of the fungicides in the video below, and the interest generated within the league for a 10/10 surface!
Congratulations to Dan and the club for their efforts in achieving a fantastic ground for the preliminary final match - we hope you have great success in this year's competition too.
