Basta ULTRA is now the most efficient, reliable and easy-to-use glufosinate herbicide available. Two innovative technologies have produced the first significant improvements in performance for over 30 years and make it easier to achieve even better control of over 100 weed species across most fruit and vegetable crops.

How it works

The groundbreaking Glu -L™ technology process produces a new, more concentrated active ingredient with standard glufosinate’s inactive D-isomers converted into highly active L-isomers. The more concentrated formulation is effective at much lower application rates than traditional ‘racemic’ glufosinate.

The other innovation in Basta ULTRA, Lock formulation is the surfactant package which optimises droplet retention and dispersion. In one study, the Basta ULTRA formulation delivered about 3 times more glufosinate-P-ammonium into the leaf than the standard formulation managed to get in.
